Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park

The Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is situated in the picturesque Devonshire countryside. Finding the park is not a problem if you are staying at one of the luxurious Devon or the Torquay holiday cottages. The park is home to many animals and also organises many animal shows throughout the year.

Dinosaurs

Tyranosaurus Rex, Megalosaurus and Dilophosaurus have all been constructed specific instructions from the park authorities using animatronic technology. The dinosaurs are operated by external and internal computers. The dinosaurs are located at different areas of the park to give it a natural feel. The dinosaurs are one of the most popular attractions at the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park.

California Sea Lions

The Sea Lions at the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is another one of the attractions of this place. The performances by these beautiful creatures are worth watching with your family. The Sea Lions are from California, North America, hence the name “California Sea Lions”. The males let out a nonstop honking sound to protect their territory. You can visit this park and see these creatures in action while staying at one of the Torquay holiday cottages or Devon holiday cottages.

Wallabies

The Red-Neck Wallabies are from the coastal forests of Tasmania and Eastern Australia. They are called “Red-Neck Wallabies” because of the red fur on their shoulder and nape. The Wallabies belong to the family of animals called “Macropods”, which means “large foot”. You can see these beautiful animals at the zoo and can also pet them. The animals are very friendly and you can also buy some Wallaby food at the zoo to tempt them to come closer so you can feed them.

Wolves

You will also be able to see wolves at the Paignton Zoo. The zoo also has daily howling shows and talks. The howling shows are conducted by wolf expert Shaun Ellis or one of his team members. The wolves at Paignton Zoo are from the European Wolf species.

You and your family can enjoy an exciting day-trip to this zoo during your holidays in Devon. The Paignton Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. There is an entry fee for visitors, the rates are as follows; Adults 14, children (3-15) 8.50 and families 40.
